1. About KaraLocal
KaraLocal is a community platform that connects karaoke hosts (KJs), venues, and singers. The platform provides a public weekly schedule, host profiles, event listings, and related tools. KaraLocal is operated by Mike The Mic Party Services out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Launch Host account. The public schedule and event pages can be browsed by anyone without an account. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to list the events you publish.
3. Host accounts and listings
When you sign up as a Launch Host, you create a public profile that includes your stage name, city/area, bio, and optional social links. Your email address is kept private and is only used by KaraLocal to contact you about your account.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your event listings, including venue name, address, day, time, and any notes. KaraLocal reserves the right to edit, unpublish, or remove listings that are inaccurate, duplicated, misleading, or spam.
Events can be published as weekly recurring shows or one-time events. Weekly events automatically appear on the public schedule each week. You can edit, unpublish, or cancel individual dates at any time from your Host Dashboard.
4. Claiming listings
KaraLocal may include event listings sourced from public information. If a listing represents your show, you can submit a claim request through the platform. Claims are reviewed by the KaraLocal team. Approved claims link the listing to your host profile and give you editing control. Submitting a false claim is a violation of these terms.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- • Create listings for events you do not host or have permission to list
- • Post false, misleading, or spam content
- • Impersonate another host, venue, or person
- • Use the platform to harass, threaten, or harm others
- • Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data
- • Scrape, copy, or redistribute KaraLocal data without permission
- • Use automated tools to interact with the platform without authorization
6. Moderation and enforcement
KaraLocal may moderate hosts, events, and content to protect quality and prevent abuse. This includes editing, unpublishing, or removing listings, as well as suspending or removing host accounts. Moderation decisions are made at KaraLocal's discretion and are final.
7. Intellectual property
The KaraLocal name, logo, design, and platform are the property of KaraLocal and Mike The Mic Party Services. You may not use the KaraLocal brand or assets without written permission.
Content you create on KaraLocal (event listings, profile information, bios) remains yours. By posting content on KaraLocal, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote that content within the platform and related marketing materials.
8. No guarantees
KaraLocal does not guarantee attendance, bookings, revenue, or any specific business outcomes. This is a community platform for discovery and promotion. Event details are provided by hosts and may change without notice. KaraLocal is not responsible for the accuracy of third-party listings or the actions of hosts, venues, or attendees.
9. Limitation of liability
KaraLocal is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, KaraLocal and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities.
10. Account termination
You may request to have your account and data removed at any time by contacting us through the Contact page. KaraLocal may also terminate or suspend your account for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your public profile and event listings will be removed from the platform.
11. Changes to these terms
KaraLocal may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the platform or by email. Continued use of KaraLocal after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of KaraLocal shall be resolved in the courts of Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.
