Community Rules
Simple rules to keep the KaraLocal community welcoming, helpful, and spam-free.
1. Be respectful
Treat everyone with respect. No personal attacks, harassment, hate speech, or bullying. Disagree constructively — attack ideas, not people.
2. Stay on topic
Post in the right category. Keep threads relevant to karaoke, hosting, singing, venues, or the KaraLocal platform. Off-topic posts may be moved or removed.
3. No spam or self-promotion
Don't post ads, affiliate links, or repetitive self-promotion. Sharing your own karaoke shows or events in the Events & Meetups category is fine — just keep it genuine.
4. No NSFW content
Keep it clean. No explicit, violent, or inappropriate content. KaraLocal is a community for all ages.
5. No doxxing or private info
Never share someone else's personal information (phone number, address, private social accounts) without their consent.
6. Report, don't retaliate
If you see a post that breaks the rules, report it. Don't engage in arguments or pile on. The moderation team will handle it.
7. One account per person
Don't create multiple accounts to manipulate discussions, upvotes, or bypass bans.
8. Moderation is final
KaraLocal moderators may edit, move, or remove posts at their discretion. Repeated violations may result in a temporary or permanent ban. If you think a moderation decision was wrong, use the Contact page to appeal.
